Pembroke School is seeking a dynamic and highly organised Events Manager to lead the delivery of a diverse and vibrant events program across the School community.
Working within a collaborative and fast-paced environment, you will lead the Events and AV team while partnering with a wide range of stakeholders across the School. You will establish and embed effective systems and processes, while also maintaining a hands-on approach to event delivery.
About the Role
This is a pivotal role responsible for shaping and delivering high-quality events that reflect the energy, scale and excellence of Pembroke. From large-scale community events to internal functions and student-led initiatives, you will play a central role in bringing events to life with precision, creativity and professionalism.
The role offers a high degree of autonomy and variety, and includes regular out-of-hours work to support events, balanced with flexibility across the working week.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Leading the planning and delivery of a diverse portfolio of events, ensuring high-quality outcomes from concept through to completion
- Establishing and embedding event processes, frameworks and standards to support consistent delivery across the School
- Managing event logistics, including venues, catering, infrastructure, security and on-the-day operations
- Overseeing budgets, suppliers and resources to ensure cost-effective and efficient event delivery
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external providers to support successful event outcomes
- Leading and coordinating the Events and AV team, including rostering, capability development and day-to-day operations
About You
You are an experienced events professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional experiences. You are confident operating with autonomy, while remaining highly collaborative and service-focused in your approach.
You bring both strategic oversight and hands-on capability, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail. You are comfortable working across a diverse range of events and stakeholders, and are adaptable to the changing demands of a school environment.
You will bring:
- Relevant qualifications in event management, communications, business or a related discipline, and/or significant experience delivering large-scale or complex events
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end event delivery, including logistics, suppliers, timelines and stakeholder expectations
- Strong financial and resource management skills, with the ability to manage budgets effectively
- Experience leading and coordinating teams, with a collaborative and supportive leadership style
- High-level organisational, problem-solving and multitasking capability
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence and provide clear direction to a broad range of stakeholders
- A professional, proactive and service-oriented approach, with a commitment to excellence
