Pembroke is seeking a hard-working and detail oriented Groundsperson to assist with the maintenance of our school grounds. Working across our 3 campuses in leafy Kensington Park, alongside our wider Buildings & Grounds team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our grounds remain clean, tidy, and well maintained year-round.
About the Role
Reporting to the Property Coordinator, this is a hands-on role that will involve working for extended periods standing and outdoors. In addition to the listed responsibilities below, the Groundsperson may also be required to support general operational and maintenance duties relating to School properties and grounds.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Leaf and rubbish removal and emptying of bins
- Undertaking minor and general maintenance of School properties and grounds
- Assist in the setup and pack-down of events and functions
- Attending and contributing to departmental meetings
About You
We are looking for someone who loves being outdoors, has an eye for detail, and is a team player. Experience in a Groundsperson role is not required, however will be advantageous.
You will bring:
- A demonstrated ability to maintain grounds, properties and facilities in a clean, safe, and presentable condition.
- Capacity to perform a variety of operational and manual tasks across all campuses, including classroom and venue setup and general labouring.
- Adaptability and a responsive approach to changing priorities.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team, supporting and assisting colleagues.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in order to communicate effectively with staff, contractors and members of the school community.
- A full driver's licence to operate relevant School vehicles is essential.
