At Pembroke School, we are seeking an engaging and motivated Student Support Assistant to join our Junior School team. This part-time, term-time position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic school environment and is passionate about supporting students in their foundational learning and wellbeing.

Job Description
About the Role
Working closely with classroom teachers, you will help foster an inclusive, caring and structured environment where children can grow in confidence and capability. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who brings warmth, patience and a proactive mindset to supporting young learners.
Providing one-on-one and small group learning support, particularly in early Literacy and Numeracy
Supporting classroom routines and student wellbeing throughout the school day
Assisting with classroom learning programs and intervention strategies
Helping students develop social skills during structured and unstructured time
Supporting documentation and digital platforms such as Toddle
Collaborating closely with teachers and maintaining a nurturing presence in the classroom
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Relevant qualifications in Education Support, Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience
A strong understanding of early childhood development and learning needs
A warm and professional communication style with children, families, and staff
Confidence using (or learning) digital tools to support learning
A calm, flexible, and resilient approach to student support and classroom engagement
