Pembroke School is a co-educational, non-denominational, day and boarding School from Early Learning Centre to Year 12. Renowned for academic excellence and a broad, inclusive program, Pembroke offers the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) and is also an International Baccalaureate World School, offering the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and Primary Years Programme (PYP).

About the Role
The Digital Technologies Teacher will deliver engaging and challenging learning experiences that inspire curiosity, innovation, and digital literacy among students. Working within a collaborative faculty, the successful applicant will plan, teach, and assess the Digital Technologies curriculum across the Middle and Senior Schools, fostering an environment where students can explore coding, robotics, computational thinking, and emerging digital tools.
The successful applicant must be an engaging practitioner who models exceptional practice, prides themselves on being an effective communicator, and builds strong relationships with their students. They must also enjoy collaborating and working as part of a dedicated, supportive, and highly motivated team.
The successful applicant will have a sound understanding of the principles of teaching and learning, possess a passion for learning, and have the ability to inspire this in students. They will possess knowledge and experience in the delivery of the relevant curricula across our Middle and Senior Schools. Experienced and early-career teachers are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Designing and implementing high-quality, innovative lessons in Digital Technologies.
- Supporting students to develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills through authentic, project-based learning.
- Incorporating contemporary technologies such as programming, data systems, and digital design into teaching practice.
- Contributing to cross-curricular projects and whole-school initiatives that promote STEM learning.
- Engaging in professional collaboration and ongoing development to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
About You
You are an enthusiastic and future-focused educator with a passion for teaching Digital Technologies. You foster curiosity and creativity, and you thrive on helping students understand how technology can be used to create, innovate, and make a positive impact in the world.
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Education, with specialisation or demonstrated experience in Digital Technologies.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in coding, robotics, computational thinking, and digital design.
- Enthusiasm for developing and delivering innovative, future-focused curriculum in Digital Technologies.
- Experience teaching with a broad range of industry-standard software and digital tools.
- Knowledge and experience with VEX Robotics (desirable).
- Commitment to applying Design Thinking and Project-Based Learning to create engaging, student-centred experiences.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a growth mindset and commitment to continual professional learning.
