Pembroke School is seeking skilled and passionate Instrumental Music Tutors (IMTs) to join our casual register, supporting students through individual and small-group instrumental lessons across designated musical instrument fields. Joining the Pembroke IMT team means being part of something genuinely special. Our Instrumental Music Tutors form the core and heart of the Pembroke Music Program, delivering specialised tuition that helps students thrive not only as musicians, but as confident, curious and engaged young people.

About the Role
You will join a diverse and collaborative community of educators who care deeply about their craft, student growth, and the power of music, alongside a vibrant co-curricular program of ensembles, performances and Artist in Residence opportunities.
Instrumental Music Tutors engaged through the Casual Register may be required to:
• Deliver one-to-one and/or small-group instrumental music lessons
• Instruct and support Immersion and/or Come-and-Try programs
• Provide specialist instruction within designated instrument fields
• Support students’ technical development, musicality and confidence
• Prepare students for ensembles, performances and school music events
• Work collaboratively with the Director of Music, Head of Music Curriculum and music staff
• Contribute positively to the broader music and co-curricular program
About You
We are seeking enthusiastic, skilled and experienced instrumental educators who are passionate about teaching and mentoring young people. You will bring:
• Expertise and formal training in your nominated instrument(s)
• Experience delivering instrumental tuition to school-aged students
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
• A flexible, reliable, and professional approach to tutoring
• A commitment to nurturing student growth, curiosity and enjoyment of music
• An interest in contributing to a collaborative and dynamic music community
As part of your registration of interest, please clearly identify:
• Your instrument(s) and areas of specialisation
• Your teaching experience (one-to-one and/or small group)
• Any experience supporting ensembles, performances or music programs
