Pembroke School is seeking enthusiastic, committed Sports Coaches to join our Casual Sports Coaches Register, supporting one of South Australia’s most vibrant and inclusive school sports programs.

Pembroke School is a co-educational, non-denominational, day and boarding School from Early Learning Centre to Year 12. Renowned for academic excellence and a broad, inclusive program, Pembroke offers the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) and is also an International Baccalaureate World School, offering the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and Primary Years Programme (PYP).

About the Role
Sport is central to life at Pembroke. With nearly all students participating in one or more sports, our program is built on participation, performance, teamwork and personal growth. Our coaches play a vital role in shaping positive sporting experiences that foster confidence, resilience and a lifelong love of sport.
Sports Coaches engaged through the Casual Register may be required to:
- Contribute to the design and delivery of engaging training sessions appropriate to age and ability
- Teach fundamental and advanced skills within a specific sport
- Assist in the selection and preparation of teams for interschool and competitive fixtures
- Motivate and mentor students to build confidence, discipline and teamwork
- Promote sportsmanship, inclusivity and ethical behaviour
- Support training sessions, matches, competitions, excursions and events (including before/after school and weekends)
Coaching Levels
Pembroke engages Sports Coaches across three levels, depending on experience and qualifications:
- Coach – Entry-level or general coaching experience
- Senior Coach – Extensive experience with a high level of technical skill
- Lead Coach – Advanced coaching career with significant experience and formal qualifications

About You
We are seeking coaches who are passionate about developing young people through sport and who bring energy, professionalism and care to their coaching practice. You will bring:
- Coaching experience and expertise in one or more sports
- The ability to work with students across different age groups
- Strong communication and positive behaviour-management skills
- A reliable, flexible and professional approach to casual coaching
- A commitment to student safety, wellbeing and inclusive participation
As part of your registration of interest, please clearly identify:
- The sport(s) you are qualified and experienced to coach
- Your preferred coaching level (Coach, Senior Coach or Lead Coach)
- The age groups or school levels you have coached previously
